Greetings old (but Dear) Friends:
I have no idea how to condense 40 years into a paragraph, but I will try. I can honestly say I have been so blessed, and am most thankful for my family--my husband, Jeff, is an active duty Colonel and is still Army Strong after nearly 34 years of service (and 36 years of marriage to me, he really deserves a medal!) We have moved too many times to count, but just know my favorite duty station was Hawaii! We have lived here in Maryland a record 17 years, where he has commuted to 7 of his assignments. I have had various jobs--I taught high school P.E. before I had my children and started my moving mother career. I did everything from teaching Adaptive PE part-time, to working in special ed classes here in Md. I finally retired from that job, and am now substitute teaching at the same middle school. My children, Brett (30), and Gregg (28) are both married and have provided me with a whole new grandma role-the most fun! Brett and his wife live in San Antonio, where he is completing his Ophthalmology Internship in the Air Force. If you could see their 21/2 little girl, and 6month old baby boy, you would forgive me for being there instead of in Centralia (sorry!). Gregg and his wife live close by in Baltimore, where he words as a Project Manager for SRA, so I see their little girl, just turning 2, every week. My parents are still living in Alabama, so my travels "home" are to see them. We stay busy, but I have finally learned to do email, and I look forward to hearing from you. May God bless you all. |
