Allan and Billie have four children, Beckie(38), Greg(37), Dan(36) and Mick(35). They have 9 grandchildren, Lauren(14), Racheal(12), Daniel(12) Hailey, Ryan, Megan, Chase, Abby(2) and Andrew(5 mo).
Am looking forward to retirement, considering a move to a different state. Billie retired from Dwight Correctional Center in 2002. Now she drives a school bus and says that she now drives some future criminals to school. The children and grandchildren keep us busy. They are in softball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer.
I raise German Shorthair Pointers and Billie raises Paint Horses. I spend a lot of time hunting and training dogs. I also stay busy taking care of the barns. Something always needs repaired or fences need fixed. Billie doesn't care for the Pheasant hunting part, but she's the midwife for whelping and chief care giver of the pups. She spoils them. This last summer she nursed one back to life when the Vet had given up on him.
Billie raises Paint horses and shows them. She says I am her number one show groom and number one stall builder. We both enjoy Deer hunting and trail riding. We both help the neighbor kids with their horses for 4H. One family has leased and shown our one paint for 9 years. Billie says that if it wasn't for me she couldn't show and take care of her horses. |
