Greetings Classmates! After 32 years teaching Art I closed that door, with the help of hurricanes Ivan, Fran, and Jeanne, among other factors. I cannot fathom how you 'retire and move to Florida'....I was able to retire and move back to Centralia, Illinois, back to COLD winters, back to EARTHQUAKES (LOL), and back to a place where some of the nicest people in the USA reside. I am slowly getting in the groove of retirement and creating some of my own art, beading jewelry, and oil painting as in high school with Ms. Virginia Rohrbacher. Sure do miss her. She was a great directional light in my life. And now it is a dream come true to have that creative time for me. I also love to plant flowers and am having an adjustment period there of what survives in this zone. I cannot end without mentioning my bit of 'God's Love' constantly by my side; my Akita Sheba; my 'whatever' dog. Continue to live well, laugh often, and love with all your heart. Rene'e |
